039 Austria Part 2

Austria: Leopoldstron Palace, Mirabell Gardens, Hellbrum Palace, Nonnberg Abbey, Zell am See

We see these T-shirts all over the place and wonder if Austria has an inferiority complex? The lady wearing this is Japanese. It was an interesting conversation trying to communicate why we wanted to take her photograph!

 

 Gmunden. We were 'accosted' by a well meaning young lady who was trying to tell us what was being done to Greece by the EU was not fair. She wasn't Greek, she just had a cause! She asked us if we were aware of the problem in Greece where people were so poor they were having to give their children to the state??!!

  We went on a wonderful 'cheesy' Sound of Music tour and loved it. Our tour guide had us all singing. This is Mondsee where the wedding took place in the movie.

 

Mirabell gardens where scenes like 'Doe a deer' were filmed.

 Salzburg Castle. Salzburg was a lovely city.

 In the grounds of the Cathedral many of the buildings were built into the rock.
